An Evening with Peter Wolf

An Evening with Peter Wolf
OCTOBER 22

Peter Wolf is best known for his stretch as the front man with long-time band the J. Geils Blues Band, where he was known for his stage antics including his quick wit and “pole vaulting” acrobats with his mic stand. After seeing the J. Geils Band in concert for the first time Wolf immediately joined the band and became not only the leader of the group but also handled much of the groups business affairs. The band soon became well known for their vivacious and exciting live performances.

After the band parted ways in 1983 due to creative differences, Wolf took on a solo career releasing seven solo albums and collaborating with countless musicians such as Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. His sixth solo album “Sleepless” was listed as one of the 500 “greatest Albums of All Time” by Rolling Stone Magazine in 2002. Some of his best hits include “Come as You Are”, “Lights Out” and “99 Worlds”.

Wolf has reunited with the J. Geils Blues Band multiple times including the Boston Strong charitable concert for those that were affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.

After spending a lot of time in New England when kicking off his career, Wolf will be coming back to the area to join us at Jonathan's Ogunquit to share some of his greatest hits, new music and hopefully that charismatic stage presence he is so well known for.
